DESCRIPTION:10/20-22: Help out at the Financial Reality Fair in Philadelphia! (half-day shifts available) \nCrossState Foundation is having a three-day Financial Reality Fair in Philadelphia in October\, and is looking for volunteers. \nAs part of Philly Phinancial Literacy Week\, Philadelphia Financial Scholars and CrossState Credit Union Foundation are proud to host a three-day Financial Reality Fair. The fairs will be held October 20-22 for students across the Philadelphia school district. They will have 2 sessions each day:  AM: 8:30 am – 11:00 am and PM: 11:15 am – 1:45 pm \nThis will be a great week — positively impacting students (and yourself)!  Please consider volunteering.  You can sign up by using the following sign-up links. SUMMARY:Poverty Simulation
DESCRIPTION:Poverty isn’t an abstract concept for many of our neighbors – it’s a complicated situation that can include being overwhelmed by a lack of stable resources and having to make impossible choices (should I pay rent\, buy groceries\, or fill a prescription). This fall\, experience a Poverty Simulation which\, over the course of one morning\, forces you to imagine living out a month of making these choices and utilizing the resources you’re given. This will give you perspective and empathy that may otherwise be unimaginable. \nJoin us on Friday\, October 23\, from 10 AM to 1 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church\, 10 W Pleasant Grove Rd.\, West Chester\, PA 19382. \nThere are two ways to be part of it: \n\nRegister as a participant: Take on the role of someone navigating a month in the life of a family stretched thin.
