Since 1976, Stratford Friends School (SFS), located in Newtown Square, PA has been a pioneer in education and the first Quaker school for students with learning differences such as ADHD, dyslexia, receptive and expressive language delays, auditory processing issues, and working memory deficits. Many SFS students come from across Delaware, Chester, and Philadelphia counties. SFS offers small class sizes to students in grades K-9 and a researched-based curriculum with STEM and service-based learning, with physical education and visual and performing arts curriculum. The school’s mission is to empower all students with the skill they need to be successful learners. At SFS, they educate the whole child to be successful now and as they grow into adulthood. SFS teachers work hand in hand with parents, school counselors, behavioral specialists, and speech-language and occupational therapists to encourage students’ creativity, build joy for learning, and bolster self-esteem.
