Colleen, a staff accountant at Sun East’s headquarters, has volunteered in a variety of settings including Cradles to Crayons and Kennett Area Community Service, where she appreciated the opportunity to help families get critical items like clothing and food. “Helping kids really hits home for me. My three daughters are the most important thing in my life, and if I couldn’t give them what they needed, I would be grateful for extra support. I can imagine that any parent would feel that way and it makes me feel good to help.” Colleen also fondly recalls running a craft activity for children and families at the Tender Hearts “Valentine Smile” event at Nemours Children’s Hospital. “Some of those kids are in really tough situations and aren’t having the lives that every kid deserves, but we gave them a great day.”
